Who We Are
We are a family owned farming and whole farm contracting business. We specialize in growing combinable crops and sugar beet across a variety of soil types in South Lincolnshire.
We have been farming here for five generations. Our people are dedicated, motivated and highly skilled individuals, all with their own roles, responsibilities and areas of expertise. Attention to detail being the core of every task.
Our team is ably fronted by Peter Waudby the Assistant Farm manager who has a wealth of expertise in modern agriculture and the associated challenges of the industry. His happy and positive attitude keeps us all motivated even in the most challenging times.
Not many people have as much knowledge and experience as David Waddingham and Richard Coddington, who between them have accumulated 90 year’s experience within our business joining straight from school. David knows more than anyone about cultivation and Richard is very much a first class sprayer operator.
Martyn Edwards has an agricultural engineering background enabling him to run the farm workshop like clockwork. He also has a passion for operating large scale machinery.
Simon Neale brings a lifetime of experience to the team having the ability to perform most tasks from the digger to the combine and beyond.
Sandra Needham is the heartbeat of our company office keeping everyone and everything running smoothly.
History
William Frank Atkinson moved down in 1778 from Yorkshire with 16 Bales and 2 Heifers and set up as a blacksmith in Rippingale. He rented some grassland from Earl of Ancaster gradually expanding his tenanted area, with Grange Farm Rippingale, still being the main hub for the present day farm and partners John, Mary, Ben and Heather Atkinson.
